Ariane: maternity

It was the first day of snow on that December month, and I took the train to Neuchâtel, my hometown, to meet my dear friend Ariane for her maternity photos. We photographed in the faint morning light, celebrating the coming of the little human who was still getting ready to meet daylight, inside her belly. I love maternity shootings for the intimacy and quietness they embody. To me, they’re a pure moment of celebration of what is being created and slowly coming into life – a deep bond of love that will last a lifetime.
