Fall Swiss mountains elopement - Eilise & Tim

17.jpg

Eilise and Tim traveled all the way from Australia to elope together in the Swiss mountains. After they said yes in front of the officiant at the registry office, they latched their dress and suit onto their backpacks and onwards we went into dreamy and mysterious green heights. The slopes were slowly turning golden under the mild September weather and we crossed a few hikers on our paths. Once at the top, they both changed at the local mountain hut that you can see very faintly on top of the hill, on the very first picture below. We proceeded with the first look on a hill with a supposedly amazing view onto dramatic steep rocks, which the slowly rising fog ended up swallowing completely in its embrace.

We then walked to catch the golden rays of the setting sun at their symbolic ceremony spot. A very narrow, discrete path down a steep grassy slope led us away from the views of potential passersby, with some new pointy dramatic rocks as the perfect background. After some magical moments we walked back and arrived at the mountain hut near the cable cars just as the night had completely set in, and we ended the day with a toast.
