Switzerland pre-wedding photos - Krittika & Michael

03.jpg

Krittika and Michael were to get married on a beach in Thailand a few weeks later and they wanted photos in the Swiss mountains’ snow. Winter elopement style. Which made me so happy - because nature, and especially mountains are my favourite place to photograph weddings or do couple shootings!

We met at the bottom station of the cable car that was going to take us all the way above the sea of fog. We arrived into bright golden sunshine, and freezing cold wind. We had 20 minutes to shoot before the last chairlift got us back down to the cable car station. While our feet were gradually freezing, we ran in the snow, they danced and hugged and kissed while I was pressing the shutter non-stop. We reached the point where I nearly couldn’t feel my fingers enough any more to focus the camera and release the shutter. Krittika and Michael both just kept the biggest smile on their faces and played the photo shooting game so well. They never complained about the cold – I guess they didn’t have time for that because we had such a short moment before the sun was going to set!

At the middle station in between the chairlifts and the cable car, we shot some more before the light escaped us completely. I went home with a massive smile on my face, feeling so grateful for being trusted once more with what I love doing the most. Which is, photograph people with stunning nature as the decor.
